The 4-paragraph formula

1. The hook (2–3 lines)

Lead with a specific reason you're writing — a product you use, a recent launch, a metric from their last earnings report. Skip "I am writing to apply for..."

2. Why you (3–4 lines)

Pick the one achievement from your resume that maps to their top need. Quantify it.

3. Why them (2–3 lines)

Show you understand their business — not their about page. Reference a real challenge or opportunity in their market.

4. The close (1–2 lines)

Concrete next step. "I'd welcome a 20-minute call to share how I'd approach [specific problem]."
